LMPC registration support
The Legal Metrology authority decides each application. We help you file the right one with complete documents.
1Check the authority
Depending on your case, the application goes to the State Controller of Legal Metrology (in Gujarat, online through the Investor Facilitation Portal) or to the Director of Legal Metrology, Government of India, through the national Legal Metrology portal. We confirm which applies to you.
2Documents
We give you a checklist and help put together identity and address proofs, premises documents, business registration (and IEC for importers), the list of products and pack sizes, and sample labels or wrappers.
3Label review
Before you apply, we check your labels for the declarations the Rules require, such as manufacturer/packer/importer name and address, common name, net quantity, month and year, MRP, unit sale price where required, consumer care details and, for imports, country of origin.
4Online filing and follow-up
We help you file the application, respond to queries from the department and track it until a decision.
5Changes later
If your address, products or business details change, we help with the amendment application.
